What Does Sciatica Feel Like?

Posted on December 13, 2020December 13, 2020 by Krista
This vector graphic includes the outline of a knife (stabbing), needle (pins and needles), and lightning bolt (electric), which represent common descriptions of sciatica pain.

Why Do I Have to Rate My Pain on a Scale of 0–10?

Posted on November 19, 2020December 19, 2020 by Krista
A graphical pain scale. On the left, there's a smiley face, and a label that says, "0 No Pain". On the right, there's a crying emoji, and a label that says, "10 Worst Pain." In between the two emoji is a stick figure bent over, with lines coming out of its back to indicate back pain.
Can I pick all the numbers?

The medical question I find most baffling is, “What is your pain level today?” What is it supposed to accomplish? I set out to find the answer.
